Hey guys,
My name’s Chris, and I’ve been playing basketball competitively for 15 years now. We all know vertical jump plays a big part in the sport, so I thought I would share my tips with you below.
Are you trying to find out how to increase vertical jump? Read on…
1. Begin every workout by warming up your leg muscles and doing some intensive leg stretches. Your vertical jump is purely based on leg strength, so look after them
2. Get a skipping rope. Seriously, these are what, $10? They’ll do wonders for your vertical jump and increasing your leg muscles and jumping ability in general.
3. Take the stairs. Taking the lift isn’t going to help improve your leg strength is it? Hit the stairs whenever you can and your vertical jump WILL increase.
4. When you’re out jogging or running, incorporate some sprints in to your routine. This will help with building explosive power in your legs, much needed when looking to increase vertical jump.
5. DON’T OVER DO IT! Rest your legs once in a while. Picking up an injury from over doing your training is going to set you back right to the start. That’s not what we want.
A couple of years ago I really started to try and increase my vertical jump, using a combination of the above tips, and other muscle building exercises (squats etc..), but I wasn’t getting the results to go with the effort I was putting in. After a year I’d only improved my vertical jump by an inch and a half!
Frustrated I started looking through Google for tips, tricks and any secrets I could find. As you know, there are a few out there, but it was hard to tell what would work, and what wouldn’t, and I didn’t want to waste another year on a workout routine that wouldn’t give me the results I was after.
Eventually I stumbled across the jump manual (I forget how, a link from a basketball forum I think), and after reading the reviews decided to give it a go as you can try it RISK FREE for 60 days. The cool thing about this is that you get a workout chart, videos which show you how to do each exercise/work out, a nutrition plan (excellent), one on one training via email and some other goodies.
Now I’ve only been following this program for nearly a year, and I’ve not increased my vertical jump to 49″ – 51″ YET, but i’m currently jumping 46″. That’s up from about 33″ when I started. I’d hit 42″ after just 3 months. I was REALLY impressed, and I’d highly recommend giving it a go (remember, if you’re not satisfied, you can get your money back, so there’s nothing to lose).
Anyway enough talking, head over to their website HERE to check it out and see for yourself.
